Food: Teochew Porridge Buffet - Orchid Cafe

We went to Orchid café located inside 3rd level of Orchid Hotel along Tanjong Pagar Road. The Orchid Hotel Basement Carpark entrance is at Tras Street. There are also some parking lots along the street. If you are taking public transport, travel to Tanjong Pagar Mrt Station. Once you exit from the ticketing gate, turn to the left exit which also leads to Amara Hotel. When you reach street level, you will see the Orchid Hotel.

They serve Teochew Porridge Buffet with dishes like , fried beehoon, sweet potato porridge, steamed fish, sweet & sour pork, soup of the day, dimsum, salad counter, fruits , dessert and free flow orange juice, coffee & tea, ice cream etc.

The price we paid is reasonable for the type of buffet spread. We tried the Kong Bak Pau and the meat is very hard. The grapes & dragonfruit are overripe. The pineapple core is black. Understand from my Mother-in-law that the week before she also encounter the same for the Kong Bak Pau & fruits.
